Welcome to Bleat.ca

G.K. Chesterton penned a thought which neatly sums up the intellectual mindset of Bleat:"There is not really any courage at all in attacking hoary [i.e. old, aged] or antiquated things, any more than in offering to fight one's grandmother. The really courageous man is he who defies tyrannies young as the morning and superstitions fresh as the first flowers. The only true free-thinker is he whose intellect is as much free from the future as from the past." (What's Wrong with the World)    Bleat exists to enable a discussion of the human condition, whether in the form of religion, theology, philosophy, economics, social and cultural trends, the arts, or science/technology. Our personal goal is to connect with the deepest forms of reality in the pursuit of a more holistic humanity than is sometimes found in the Christian tradition. But even if that is not your thing we welcome all thoughtful perspectives.  So please join in our conversation about the world we find ourselves in.    To post or comment please register below (free and confidential).
